Project Description

We are a small commercial real estate company looking for a PHP, MySQL proficient developer to build a custom contact management-property record relational database. The build may either be a ground up design and build or the modification of an existing open source script/ module.

We would prefer a state-side person, and living in the Phoenix, Arizona is a major plus. We're ok with the candidate sub-contracting elements of the project overseas.

Ability to tie in Gmail and Google API's and Wordpress apps is a plus.

Candidate should be able to create clean user interfaces.

The database will initially contain approx 5,000 property records with as many as 200 fields, 10,000+ contacts (people, companies) with as many as 50 fields. As a relational database, contacts (people and companies) may be connected to many properties in different "Roles" . Records will have extensive notes section that are searchable.

Each field should be searchable for specific items, and partial or ranges.

Property records will contain calculations or allow embedded excel spreadsheets. They will also have photos and associated (linked) documents which may point to external databases (such as Picasa or Dropbox, etc) for each record.

Initially there will be less than 10 users with unique logins. Users can upload photos to a record, add records, modify and update record information. There must be an audit trail of activity and some updated information will display as a list of historical changes on the record (when a property is sold, the ownership changed, the new owners are displayed as well as the contact information for the past owners)

The build should be stable and accessible. We do not have servers, so we would like it hosted/maintained on a stable, cost effective cloud based system such as Amazon Servers. Users should have access to system via a web interface (login page on our website), smart phones (iOS and Android) and tablets. Though mobile access may be limited to a smaller set of primary fields for each record.

We would eventually like to allow public access to records in the form of an App to review limited data sets. (We recognize this may be in a future build)
