Project Description

I need a well written php script that will connect to our OScommerce 2.2 database shop and export the data for our products additional images, to our new store under Prestashop 1.5.3.1
The images files will also need to be imported using the Prestashop new images file structure (/img/p/x/x/x/x).

The products IDs under our Prestashop and OScommerce stores are the same. So the export—import database’s datas part of the script should not be difficult.
The OScommerce additional images table structure is as follows:
1 additional_images_id int(11)
2 products_id int(11)
3 images_description varchar(128)
4 thumb_images varchar(255)
5 medium_images varchar(64)
6 popup_images

1* Your script will export the fields #2 products_id and # 6 popup_images
2* Your script will import these datas in Prestashop ps_image table, assigning products_id to id_product and using popup_images datas to generate id_image and copy the relevant images files to Prestashop images files structure.
3* The position field in Prestashop shall be determined by the additional_images_id value. Meaning that for one product in OScommerce with for example 3 additional images under additional_images_id 1234, 1235, 1236, the image for id 1234 will get position 2, 11235 position 3 and 11236 position 4 in Prestashop.
4* Your script shall take into account that there are about [url removed, login to view] images files to copy and should therefore be able to work in the background and avoid timeout issues.
5* Your script will also provide a status on the php page that the process is working, completed or in error.

Thank you.
