Project Description

Overview: I need a software product developed for my own use and that can be sold as a SaaS product to other people in my industry. The basis concept is a basic CRM program with mapping functionality built into it. Where most CRM programs are based around a customer or a project, this CRM program will be focused around a location. It would be like a google map with additional fields to fill in for each location.

How it will be used: The purpose of the software is for employees that are working around the city to be able to report the location of new construction projects. The employee would pull out his smart phone, and drop a pin on his mobile map of where the project is. Once he drops a pin of the location of the new job site, he should be able to give additional details such as the name of the company, type of construction site, and additional notes. Most of the time he won’t know the exact address of the construction project but rather just cross streets or a general area hence why dropping a pin is important.

The sales team can then log in and see all the dropped pins on a map. They then go visit each of those construction projects.

The software will be a cloud product. It needs to be accessible on both a smart phone and a desktop computer.

The software must not have any licensing issues with the mapping integration.

I’m not a programmer so I won’t specify what language it is built in. I will say that I prefer open source languages over proprietary.

There will be two levels of users: Admin and User

The input fields for each of the locations include:

Address (this should autofill once the pin is dropped)
Aka (If they want to name the project location eg Kaiser Hospital or Newport Library)
Contact (if they know who the main contact is)
Notes (just a text field for additional dates)
Category (this would be a picker field that is defined by the admin. The admin should be able to define what type of projects are relevent to their company.)
Date (autofills)
Stage (There will be 4 stages: spotted, visited, won, lost. The sales team will update these fields as they visit the sites and either win or lose the bid for the work)

I need a price and a development timeframe for this software as well as any addressing any potentials concerns I may have over looked.
