Project Description

Hi we are a Collision Repair Centre (Body Shop/ Smash Repairs) in the business of repairing accident damaged vehicles.
We require images taken while in our workshop thru-out the entire repair process.
Our Tradesmen have digital cameras with which they take photo's and we then manually extract the 'sd' cards from the camera and load to the required job in our estimating and quoting package.
These are loaded manually by our office staff via a card reader but it is very time consuming and often the correct images do not get loaded to the right job because of human error.
I require an easier, quicker and more exact way of doing this.
We did trial a similar idea a while ok called 'Job Tracker' but this has since gone.
This older system used a 'bar code' which was printed onto the worksheets and a photo/image was taken of the bar-code and then followed by the job's photo's.
I will attach examples of this to work from.
I am open to ideas of 'fixed' camera's or Cctv camera's which are programmed to take still shots at programmed intervals?
Another idea would be a docking station for the camera's that when docked or charging automatically uploads all images and assigns them to the correct job/estimate number.
This could be wirelessly then sent to a folder on the main server or to our website where we could drop and drag or transfer the images to our estimating and accounting package.
We do have wifi coverage thru-out the facility.
Maybe a combination of fixed (possibly in spray booths) and hand held still camera's may be required.
The main objective is to capture and save all images and assign them to a separate folder relating to each job number/vehicle.
Also they could be posted to our Website and Facebook page possibly?
Also a function where the customer could log on to view the images of their vehicle thru-out the repairs
I will attach some similar program ideas.
Thankyou and goodluck.
