Project Description

THIS IS A RUSH PROJECT. WE WILL NEED A FULLY FUNCTIONAL, WORKING SCRIPT BY THIS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3RD AT 5PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME (USA).\r\n\r\nSUMMARY: \r\nOne of our clients needs a pricing tool so that they can provide their customers with an accurate price instantly for two separate services they currently sell (gas service and electric service). Currently they use an Excel spreadsheet with formulas to figure out the pricing when talking to a potential customer. They would like to convert this spreadsheet into an online tool that automates the price estimation process. Basically, every day they receieve updated pricing sent to them via email - the pricing is in an Excel Spreadsheet. To get pricing, the sales employees enter in customer name, address and contact info along with 6 pieces of information they get from a customer\'s electric bill (current rate, current invoice amount, etc). They then copy the daily pricing into the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet does some math and delivers a 1, 2 & 3 year price along with a cost savings. The spread sheet automatically updates an agreement form they have with the pricing and customer contact info. The sales employees email the contract to the customer. The customer signs and emails back. We need to automate this process for them. The gas service and electric service use different formulas, but have the same basic structure. \r\n\r\nPROJECT REQUIREMENTS:\r\n1) Build an online tool in PHP that will automate the pricing estimation process for this client using an existing excel spreadsheet as a template for the formula\'s\r\n\r\n2) The tool will need a management portal with 3 user types: sales staff and admin. Sales Staff will need the ability to login, enter in customer information and have a customer contract/agreement created automatically from the data the tool figures out. ADMINS WILL NEED THE ABILITY TO UPLOAD AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET EVERY MORNING THAT THE TOOL WILL USE AS A BASE FOR THE PRICING FORMULAS.\r\n\r\n3) The pricing tool will allow employees to login, enter in information and then show all of the following data below:\r\n- 1, 2 & 3 year price cost\r\n- Monthly profit on 1, 2 & 3 year plans\r\n- 1, 2 & 3 year cost savings the customer will get by switching to their service\r\n\r\n4) The tool will allow an admin user to upload new pricing to the database every morning. The script will use this pricing information as a base for figuring out the end pricing as mentioned above. IT MUST BE VERY SIMPLE AND EASY FOR THE ADMIN TO UPLOAD THE SPREADSHEET TO THE DATABASE. Every day they receive updated pricing in one excel spreadsheet that has the rates of 4 electric companies. Once the spreadsheet is uploaded, the pricing for all 4 of these electric companies should be updated. \r\n\r\n5) The tool will allow the sales staff to put in data that they get from the customer, select one of the 4 electric companies that they receive pricing from (see #4) and instantly get the pricing options described in #3. Each electric company has unique pricing. \r\n\r\n5) The tool will automatically configure a customer contract/agreement in PDF format with the customer information the sales employee entered in along with the pricing that the tool compiled. Sales staff must have the ability to click a button and send the contract/agreement to the customer via email in PDF format. \r\n\r\nWe will supply the existing excel spreadsheets used to calculate the pricing. The spreadsheet shows the formula they use to arrive at the final price. We will pay 25% to start and will not pay the remaining amount due until the online price tool has been approved by our customer. NO EXCEPTIONS.
