Project Description

Hi All,

I'm in need of a developer to do the following project from start to finish. First off, let me give some background information:

I run an online store, currently with the Prestashop shopping cart software, selling components from one supplier, who provides a web service to me, making available live stock values and prices.

I would like to use this information, along with the rest of the products information provided, to populate the catalogue of my online store. The prices and stock values do not have to be live, but updated on a regular basis (maybe every half hour) - and if the web service is offline or if there are any errors, the store should retain the most recent price update.

The web service does not provide information on all products, some queries on stock availability may return with a null / unknown value, in which case there needs to be a 'Call for availability" link on the product page. It does however provide many fields of data, which are all outlined in the attached document (given to me from the supplier outlining all variables and even has some test code).

I do not mind changing our store to a different shopping cart solution if need be, I jus want everything to be completely automated.

The development will involve not only the retrieval of the information and populating the database, but also the development/integration on the front end.

I look forward to your bids! Please maybe outline how you would plan on doing this.
