Project Description

Hi,

I need a Crystal Report for VS 2005 done, which will be used in a Windows Application in [url removed, login to view] 2.0

The database is in access.

The report will display data from a combination of the three tables which store racing classes information.

The data structure is as follows

For any given racing class,

tblClass contains Class data, which will be displayed on the top of a report

Each class has certain participants(horse riders), whose names and other data are in tblClassDetail table, along with the ClassID taken from the tblClass table

Each participant in a class has to undergo a number of jumps. These vary from class to class.

So in the tblJumpDetail table you will find the jump name and penalties for each rider for a given class.

The format of the report needs to be as follows

Class Name

Class Date

Optimal Time

Rider Name , Horse Name, Start Time, Finish Time, Total, Penalty1 ( for the jump 1 of this rider ), Penalty 2 ( for jump 2 of this rider ) and so on…

So you see the jump penalties from the tblJump table will need to be concatenated and added to the same row for a rider.

In the database, there is a query already in place that formats the data like this and gives it to you, but I am not sure how to parameterize it to give the data for a certain classID

**Please see the attached document s for the database and the Report Format in excel sheet**

Further, since the number of jumps is different for different classes, I am not sure how to go about designing the report in the designer.

Thanks for your time. I look forward to your bids
