Part of a multi-dimensional project: Bluefin.

OVERVIEW:
The project involves the creation of a business website and backend Database system where client can find out details about the company, sign up to create an account and in a password protected and secure area provide details of their company and then outlet by outlet provide details of address, opening hours, product categories supplied, individual product lines, and pricing.

This data is then to be available to a consumer app where customers will scan a QR code to identify the branch and location they are in (probably verified by GPS as well.) Once "checked in" at the branch they can then access the product catalogue by category, browse product lines, add them to an order page and once happy send the order electronically to the branch via our back-end systems.

Additionally functionality will be added over time where customer will receive reward points for transactions that can be spent in venue, will be able to search for nearby venues supporting the app, and will receive specific marketing offers and promotions via the app, be able to interact via social media / facebook / twitter, etc

Password protected area that will only allow registered clients access to their business data depending on the level of authority their log in grants them. EG. Owners / Head Office personnel may be able to see and change data for multiple branches, Branch Managers will only be able to see and change information about their own venue and product catalogue, Staff may only be able to review information and toggle an "available to accept orders" switch or disable specific items or categories if sold out etc..

At a branch level the website will allow venues to have address, opening hours, product categories, product details, pricing entered to set up the venue and make it go live.

All of this data to be placed in a database that can be interrogated by the mobile app. The mobile App will allow orders to be created and posted into the database and forwarded on to the specific branch. Initially this may just be to a local mobile device / tablet for the venue to process into their EPOS systems but ultimately integration directly into EPOS would be desirable.
