Project Description

I have a project I feel has potential, but know I need some expert input i.e. bigger, better, slicker, more ‘user friendly’, more authentic, attractive etc etc!
A bit of background.
In the summer of 2011 my husband and I nursed our dear friend, who was suffering with cancer of the oesophagus until she died. Last year I nursed my husband, who had melanoma, at home until the end. I was supported greatly by the Iain Rennie Hospice At Home, a charity organisation who not only provided practical and emotional support, but also became dear friends.

So, I had the idea of launching a not for profit venture, The Poetry Competition, which would utilise my desire to raise money for the hospice nurses and be a great way to fulfil my own interest in poetry.
Although this is an extremely new site, barely indexed by google yet! I have quickly realised that it needs a lot more pizazz and functionality in order to tempt people in.
My hope would be to have:
Poems are entered automatically when payment received.
Poems are entered anonymously i.e. all details are received but their name doesn’t show.
One click voting system beneath each poem & a choice whether to comment or not.
Contributors prevented from voting for their own work.
Contributors prevented from voting more than once for any poem.
Scores are added up automatically and leading poem displays first.
A reviewer’s reward system i.e. they get points for reviewing poems which will credit against a free entry (or something to encourage reviews)

I thought maybe we could also incorporate a monthly comp and perhaps themed comps.

I quite like the look of this site [url removed, login to view] in that they have the ability to load an image with work.
My site is here [url removed, login to view]

I need a ball park figure please.
