I want a website written from the ground up. I want complete job tracking for a computer repair shop.
The process is as follows:
Front of store staff book in a computer job, which includes either a new customer or an existing customer. Note, customers should be able to log into the website and update their contact details etc, as should staff - different screens - more control for staff. Computer details should not be stored as part of the customer card, instead, once a customer card is added, a computer card should then also be added - allowing for 1 customer to own more than 1 computer, then finally a job card should be added for each new job, allowing a computer to be serviced multiple times, and review technicians notes on each job.
Computer Card should track Windows License Number / Version, Anti Virus Version, Serial & Expiry, Computer Description and a section to fill out specs (such as video card, cpu, mainboard etc)
Job Card should track status, primarily:
Booked - Booked in but not looked at yet
In-Progress - On the tech bence being worked on
Waiting Parts - Waiting for parts to continue with the job
Waiting Customer - Waiting for information from customer
Waiting Pickup - Job is finished and waiting to be picked up by the customer
Complete - Job has been picked up by the customer.
There needs to be the ability for the technician to make notes on the job, notes should keep track of the date and time of the note and should have an option to be visible to the customer or not.
When creating a new computer card, it should determine whether the computer is a laptop or a desktop.
When creating a new job, if it is a laptop, it should ask if the power cable or bag has been included - regardless of computer type, it should also ask if Keyboard, Mouse, Disks or Other Accessories have been included - if other is selected - there should be a box to type what other bits are included.
The computer card should also ask for password.
A technician should be able to log into a screen where they can see all jobs and statuses, and select the next job, and also have an overview of what work needs to be done.
The website should be designed with a modern feel - similar graphic style to [url removed, login to view]
The website will be hosted at a sub-domain on my sever which is hosted by hostgator - I have full access, and will organise any needed access. Further details can be worked out on commencement of the project.
