Project Description

Hello,

I'm looking for someone to create me a Wordpress plugin that creates posts from youtube automatically.

I'm sick and tired of doing this by hand myself all the time.

Here's how I imagine it will work, after I upload and install the plugin:

I have attached a quick HTML mock-up of the settings screen.

ALL THE FOLLOWING SHOULD BE ON *ONE* SCREEN WITH AS LITTLE SCROLLING AS POSSIBLE (use two columns if needed)

- I enter ONE keyword or a LIST of keywords in a text area. For example:

dog training
teach puppy tricks
dog supplies

- I select one of these radio buttons:

() include youtube comments
() don't include youtube comments
() random

NOTE: The comments should be posted on the blog organically - not all together. Maybe up to 3-5 comments per day. The plugin should grab the comments from Youtube, save them and then drip feed them to the blog post daily.

- I select one of these radio buttons:

() include video description below video
() don't include video description below video
() random

- Include ONE negative keyword or a LIST of negative keywords in a text area. This will mean that, if a youtube video includes this term in the title, tags or description, it should NOT be added to the blog.

- Posting schedule: It should have TWO drop-down menus that look like this:

Post [drop down menu 1] videos every [drop down menu 2]

Drop down menu 1 will have numbers from 1-10.

Drop down menu 2 will have time periods like: day, week, month

Auto post videos for how long? It should have TWO drop-down menus that look like this:

Drop down menu 1 will have numbers from 1-10.

Drop down menu 2 will have time periods like: day(s), week(s), month(s), year(s)

- I click a button and the blog starts autoposting content from Youtube based on the above parameters.

EXTRA CLARIFICATIONS:

- The title of the youtube video will become the blog post title.

- The plugin will automatically SEO the post. It will grab the tags of the video it posts and post them in the tag cloud (if it's available for that blog).

- The plugin will search and post videos in the order that keywords were entered. For example:

keyword 1
keyword 2
keyword 3

The plugin will post a video about "keyword 1." The plugin will post a video about "keyword 2." The plugin will post a video about "keyword 3." The plugin will post a video about "keyword 1." The plugin will post a video about "keyword 2." And so on

- It goes without saying, that I should be able to disallow extra comments on a post from the main Wordpress admin screen. Or, I should be able to make a new post manually. The plugin shouldn't override the main Wordpress setting or act "weird."

- After I click the submit button, I should get a confirmation screen that everything went ok and the blog will start gathering videos.

- The settings I used should be saved. For example, if I want after one month, I need to be able to visit the settings screen and add extra keywords, delete keywords, change the posting schedule etc. The posts that have already been made, will remain as they are.

- The code should be clean and fully explained (for example: "the next section performs this and that function").

WHAT TO DO NOW:

Please send me a PM (don't post in the open). Let me know of the following:

- what experience do you have with plugins and wordpress in general
- how long do you think this will take
- what the cost will be
- any other questions you have
- any extra ideas for the plugin you may have

We will discuss the details through PM so we are both clear on what's required. After that, you will be able to make your official bid.

Thanks for reading the project description and looking forward to working with you... :-)
