Project Description

!!!!READ THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY, BEFORE APLLYING FOR IT. ALL STANDARD ANSWERS WILL BE REJECTED!!!!

We need our wesbite [url removed, login to view] to be re-contructed from scratch in Joomla 2.5. This is not an update and no code or files should be used from our current website. No update/migrating tools should be used. We need a brand new website in Joomla 2.5 created from scratch. We have changed the design slightly.

The structure is almost the same as on our current Joomla 1.5 website [url removed, login to view], which can be used for reference.

Part 1:
The design has been completed in Photoshop and exported into PSD templates. One PSD for the index frontpage and one PSD for a normal article page. We have many writers on our site, so the project should be completed as an user-friendly CMS news website.

Part 2:
We need 2 seperate pages to be updated automatically from a live XML-feed and we also need the standings module on the frontpage to be updated from the same feed. XML-feed will be provided including guidelines and manual. PSD design files for both pages will be provided.

Here are the requirements:

1) The new Joomla site should be exactly identical with our PSD template. We are talking 100% identical down to 1 pixel, so dont apply if you are not ready for very detailed and specific corrections.

2) The Joomla template has to be constructed for Joomla 2.5 version and be compatible with later versions as well. Future Joomla updates shall NOT have any impact on the Joomla site and design, when replacing the files. In other words, NO EDITING IN JOOMLA CORE SYSTEM FILES.

3) We need a 100% dynamic news/content CMS system, ready for publishing news articles through a standard Joomla editor. The CMS system should automatically handle the news archive, latest news section and other dynamic components. Check our current website [url removed, login to view] for the structure.

4) We need a news archive, were all news are updated automatically when published. User should be able to sort the news and search for specific news. Check our current website [url removed, login to view] for the structure.

5) The latest news section (Headlines) on the frontpage and on other pages should be maintained and updated automatically when publishing news. Check our current website [url removed, login to view] for the structure.

6) The one featured news article on the frontpage with the big image, should update the news text header automatically. When creating the article, we should be able to specify and upload the image for the featured news headline on the frontpage and for the article page itself. We will upload to images.

7) The site should be created in modules, so we can relocate and disable all the different boxes. Even create new modules in the same style.

8) When holding the mouse over an item in the main menu, the submenu shall show the available items within that menu category. We should be able to edit and add items to the menu.

9) We need a separate search page, where users can search for news articles.

10) We need 2 seperate articles with tournament standings from 2 different tournaments. XML-feed will be provided and should be integrated in the design shown on the PSD files.

!!! Don’t apply unless you are a skilled Joomla coder and can fulfill all of our requirements !!!

See the screenshots attached for your reference.

The project will be split into 2 milestone payments. The first one will be released when we are half way though and we are confident that you can finish the work to our needs.
