Project Description

I would like to build a special version of the texas hold'em poker. I would like to run it in public places (pub,restaurant,ice-cream shops) with a certain number of people. I mean,in short words, that there should be a software running on Linux that can be used as a Dealer and by a Dealer and two apps (the first one for the Android phones and the second one is for the Apple's smartphones). People can play only if their smartphone is compatible. The software that acts as poker server/dealer shares a wi-fi or bluetooth connection (which one is best ?) with the clients/smathphones. The whole system works like this :

a) there is a poker server/dealer that runs on my computer with Linux. It shares a connection with the people's smarthphones
b) poker server/dealer gives/install to the people smarthphones the right app through the shared connection
c) poker server/dealer generates common cards and display them to a big screen through a pico projector and sends the remaining cards to
the smartphone of each person sitting at the tables.
d) big screen is splitted into 4 squares. Each square is a table. Each table can host a certain number of people.
e) into each table there should be a number of people as homogeneous as possible,in relation with the total amount of the playing people.

For example if there are 30 playing peoples, the number of the playing people hosted into each table should be :

table 1 = 8 table 2 = 8 table 3 = 7 table 4 = 7

The maximum number of playing people is 10 for each table. So the total amount of playing people is 10 x 4 = 40. To split the big screen into more squares could be not a good idea, because people could not be able to watch it properly and there could not be enough space on the public place walls to display a bigger screen. Tables start playing together. The game time limit is one hour. Who won more fiches within that time, won the award.
