Project Description

I have a linux (centos) server with multiple IPs on it to use as a proxies. I have an external application that will use these proxies... I want a script (perl/php/whatever) that can parse the netstat (or some other means) to count how many times each IP is connected & update a database table with this total. I will cron this script to run every several minutes. The reason for this is because I do not want my application to use more than 4 instances of an IP address.. once the IP has 4 connections my application will need to move to the next IP that has less than 4 connections. I hope this is clear... to sum it up I need a script that will count the number of established connections each IP has.
