Project Description

We are building high-altitude solar powered atmospheric satellites that fly at 65,000 ft (20km). We are designing a comprehensive website that will be video and graphically rich showcasing the Solar UAVs. One of the elements we need is a number of still photo-realistic renderings showing the UAVs above the clouds at the edge of the atmosphere as well as similar video clips.

You will need to build / import a photo-realistic earth covered with a constellation of UAVs. Most of the clips and stills would be focused around 1 of the UAVs from different angles (sunrise, sunset, etc) to create some beautiful imagery that sparks the imagination. At lower levels, you will need realistic 3d clouds / weather.

To get a better idea, here is a rendering of one of our UAVs directly from our Solid Works design files. We could provide you with the obj files as well as the skin textures for decals and solar cells, which would probably be best applied in Cinema 4D or similar.

A couple of us here are proficient with premiere, so we will be able to splice in stock video footage along with video and still renderings. One example of a video we would create would start with the stock video below and then transition to a clip rendering (prior to the satellite) from the scene you would create.

To summarize, the initial scope of this project would be to create the initial scene in which there are a several of our Solar UAVs above a beautiful, high-quality planet and then render 50-100 still images from various angles and times of day as well as 5-10 short video clips (~30 seconds ea). We plan on making a large splash with this product and begin a huge media push. It is our hope and intention that our PR campaign will be picked up and end up as covers on Popular Mechanics and myriad other magazines and sites, which would also give you much exposure.

Please provide a link to your portfolio, especially with any earth animations.
