Project Description

Project Description:
Do you like Science Fiction Books? I don’t just mean heard of. Do you read science fiction books on a regular basis? Do names like Alfred Bester, Roger Zelazny, Neal Stephenson, Dan Simmons, Tad William, Isaac Asimov, Gene Wolf, Frank Herbert, Peter Hamilton, and James Corey ring a bell?

Do you spend some of your spare time reading sci-fi blogs and posting on science fiction book forums?

Do you hit up the local bookstore once every couple weeks to check out the new science fiction and fantasy book releases?

If so, then THIS is the job for you!

THE JOB

If you're passionate about the science fiction and reading, then you'll love this job! Your job will be to help write a number of detailed science fiction book recommendation lists.

We are talking book lists with the titles like “Best Science Fiction Books”, “Best Hard Science Fiction Out there”, ‘Best Cyperbunk Books’.
The project will entail 10 or so lists for now, each containing 10-25 or so ranked recommendations.

You’ll need to write between 100-300 words per recommendation in a witty, sarcastic, and entertaining style. You’ll need to convince the read WHY the book is ranked on the list and why it’s considered one of the best books in the genre. Of course, you’ll also NEED to really know what you’re are talking about.

Some examples of what sort of lists /writing I’m expecting you to do:

REQUIRED
Good writers with knowledge about science fiction with a lot of personality wanted. I’m not looking for the usual dull SEO writers around here. You’ve need to be able to WRITE entertaining prose, not stupid product reviews about dishwashers or toy napikins. Real writers ONLY.
I expect you’ll need to spend a good amount of time doing research for each list, looking at other best lists and determining what should be on our lists. I will also help you out here, providing my own recommendations.

PAYMENT

Each recommendation list will be around 2000 to 4000 words, depending if it’s a top 10 or top 25 list with each entry being around 100-200 words (in some cases 300 words). I’m not going to necessary pay per word but rather per list. The average list will probably be around 3000 words.

I’ll pay $60 dollars per list for 10 lists. I’m paying some good money here, but I’m paying for quality writing and research on your part. I'm paying for real writers with talent, not SEO writer hacks who rewrite ezine articles!

I don’t want someone counting by the word, I want someone who can write entertaining prose and who loves science fiction!
