Project Description

Project Overview:
This project is 98% done. I just need a guru to get this over the finish line and essentially oversee the handling of the dns redirects. Seriously, it's pretty much that simple...

Background:
My company partnered with another company, they have an online store hosted by Volusion. We built them a fresh store on a proper Magento Platform. We built the fresh store with a .tk domain, now we need to repoint the dns and convert that ,tk into a proper .com without messing up the existing email routing.

Details:
1. The new store is built on current magento release [url removed, login to view] and ready to go with a .tk domain suffix and currently hosted on Hostgator. We also have a nexcess account if you think it's better suited for a little more power.
2. They own the .com domain through [url removed, login to view] (we've never worked with namecheap, so we don't understand their interface well).
3. The current dns all point to volusion nameservers
4. Volusion then splits the A from the MX and routes the emails over to google nameservers.
5. So we've got to pull everything away from volusion, then change the domain suffx in the magento config, then repoint the mx and a dns settings over at namecheap to push the traffic over to hostgator and leave the email routing through google mail servers...
6. Lastly, we've got to update the SSL certificate.

For me, it's a little too convoluted with platforms I'm not familiar with.
Everyone I've talked to has said it's a piece of cake, but I want to bring in an expert to oversee and hold my hand through it.

I'd like phone and text access to you during the project so essentially this is a consulting gi more than anything else...
You walk me through and I'll push the buttons.

I think we're looking at 1 to 3 hours to get it done.
