Project Description

We are looking for a freelancer that can take an existing PDF library written in C and create a complete rewrite of it. The main purpose of the library is to read/write/render PDF files. It converts PDF to images, and supports many PDF 1.7 standard functionality, like hyperlinks, annotation support, form filling, encryption, search, outline etc.

The process will be in close collaboration with us. We will set up a GIT repo where you can work, and a task management system for all communication, tasks and bug reporting. It is important that you commit changes to the repo daily, so we can closely follow your progress.
We need a fixed price for this assignment.

What we require of you:
We expect a direct contact with a fluent English developer. Only candidates with a proven record of accomplishment and references to former work within the needed technical skillset will be taken into consideration.

Technical required skillset:
- Expert level of C programming (you must have the C Programming - Level 1 exam)
- You enjoy performance optimizing your work
- Deep knowledge level of the PDF standard (fonts, forms, annotations, encryption, encoding etc.)
- Great knowledge of open source libs like: jbig2dec, freetype2, openjpeg, curl
