Project Description

Project:

5000 words - Proofreading / Editing

We are a relatively small, but fast growing Travel company in the Netherlands, operating many Travel websites in Europe and the rest of the world. As we're an international company we have to write many English texts, like website texts - SEO texts - SEA texts - Show Cases - White papers – Press releases etc. We write these texts by ourselves, but unfortunately our Grammar and syntax isn’t as good as a native speaking English person.

So we’re looking for a person who can check our outgoing texts if we need to. The editor needs to be a native English speaking person with preferably a degree in English or Journalism. The chosen candidate will need to edit (not just proofread) an unknown amount of texts per day. The texts are related to the Travel industry and could be B2C as B2B as well. It is important that you will react very quickly on our messages and that we can reach you almost at any time. The editor will need to be avaialble on either Messenger or Google Talk and should be able to submit the articles within 12 hours.

The only problem is that we don’t know how much English content we will make in the coming months. To tackle this problem we are setting out a project for 5000 words to proofread (and in some cases to rewrite). Each time our editor will finish a partial translation, we will make a milestone payment. For example:

We make a deal that you will edit 5000 words for 70 Euros. If you finished the first instruction of let’s say 300 words, we will perform a milestone payment of (70 / 5000 * 300) of €4,20.

You will need to perform the following tasks:
1) Check Grammar: Check spellings, sentence construction and punctuation.
2) Flow of Thoughts: Check for logical and smooth flow of thoughts. You may need to rewrite some sentences to make the article read more logical.
Please include "Passion for editing " when applying. This is to ensure that you read the project details.
