Project Description

I am looking for someone to design a 3 minute marketing video for my client. The video needs to be created in Sony Vegas Pro and all work is to be delivered using Dropbox.

What I will provide:

I will send an invitation to join the project’s shared folder on Dropbox. Followed by an email containing the project information.

Included in the project email will be:
- Client Company’s Name
- Client Website
- Project number for reference
- Any special instructions/direction form client
- Deadline for Project (Minimum of 5 business days)
- Examples of the style of video desired

Included in Dropbox will be the following:
- Recorded Voice over file
- Background music file
- Client supplied images and/or video
- Client logo
- Final Script for reference
- Template .veg file

Designer’s Responsibilities:

1. The designer will take these elements and, using the template file provided, create a 20-30 second sample video which we will send to the client. Unless instructed otherwise, use the client's website as a guide to the look and feel of the video. This should also include an intro that features the client’s logo prior to the start of the voice over. This sample video should be a representation of the theme, motion graphics, and fonts that will be used throughout the video. If stock images/videos are needed, please select from one of the image sites listed here or submit another site for approval. Until images are approved by the client, they should remain as comp images in the video. When using comp images, be sure to save the files as the original name given by the image site. These should be saved in the project folder on Dropbox. Once the images are approved by the client, I will purchase the needed images and provide them to the designer. Using images that have a long side dimension of 800-900 pixels or video that is approximately 640 x 360 px @ 30 fps, the total cost of RF images and video needs to stay under $175. If more than this amount is needed, please contact me.

2. The designer will render the video (save in project folder) and notify me via email that it is ready for review.

3. The designer will then incorporate any changes I have, re-render the video, and again notify me via email that it is ready for review. This process will repeat until I feel it is ready for the client to see at which point I will submit the video to the client.

4. Once I hear back from the client, I will submit any changes client has to the designer, or let the designer know that the video is approved and the project can move on with the full video. If there are changes, the designer will incorporate those changes and we will repeat the process from step 3.

5. Once we have approval of the sample video, the designer will create the full length video using the theme, motion graphics, and fonts established in the sample video along with an outro featuring the client’s logo. If stock images/videos are needed, please use the same process outlined in step 1.

6. The designer will render the video (save in project folder) and notify me via email that it is ready for review.

7. The designer will then incorporate any changes I have, re-render the video, and again notify me via email that it is ready for review. This process will repeat until I feel it is ready for the client to see at which point I will submit the video to the client.

8. Once I hear back from the client, I will submit any changes client has to the designer, or let the designer know that the video is approved and the project is complete. If there are changes, the designer will incorporate those changes and we will repeat the process from step 7.
