Project Description

We are a group of volunteers that, because of the ongoing financial crisis, have decided to set up a website to give advertising to enterprises in a province that albeit being close to a large city was already underdeveloped and with higher than normal unemployment.

The area is mostly rural and as such most of the enterprises are in the agriculture field, although there are small factories and many artisans. What we'd like to build is a sort of Yellow Pages website aimed at giving all these enterprises a place to be found and, also, information on the cultural events and natural beauties in the area to potential tourists.

Therefore we imagine the website built along these three mainlines:
- a search engine with a database of enterprises, their field of activity and location (we'll care for the data entry but we'll need a backoffice form to do it) based in the top half of the homepage as in various Yellow Pages websites
- a resume page with linked pages to all the town and villages of the province (we'll care for the data entry of every town and village), with relevance in the homepage
- a page with a calendar of the festivals, concerts, monthly fairs, farmers' markets and such, also with relevance in the homepage

WHAT WE HAVE
If needed, we can give a Photoshop file with some ideas we had for the homepage.
For the search engine database, we'll give every field of research and category.
Total cooperation to the professional(s) involved in the creation of the website.

WHAT WE DON'T HAVE
A lot of money, unfortunately. We're residents in the area, concerned by the growing poverty that - again, unfortunately - involves us too. Please, bid bearing in mind that, and that the project as a whole is a not-for-profit action.
So much IT experience and competence: we may have ideas and one of us has been 20 years in (print) graphic design industry but we rely on the professional(s) involved in the creation of the website for corrections, guidance and further ideas.
