Project Description

NOTE: the developer must be in Melbourne Australia!!!

1. Build an [url removed, login to view] web services web portal.

Estimate: 3 days.

It is to be invoked by multiple instruments remotely over SSL/TLS through Internet. The instrument calls the web method to upload JEPG images and text contents. The web methods creates folders on a Windows file server and save the photos and text files into these folders. No database needed - all information including the login details are managed by [url removed, login to view] and other text files.

2. Build the client component DLL in C# which calls the web method to upload the photos. NOTE: the URL of the web service is not fixed, so Visual Studio's "Add Web Reference" feature won't work. You can't use a pre-generated proxy class.

Estimate: 2 days.

3. Build a Windows Forms application in C# that displays the text and photos on the Windows file server.

Estimate: 3 days.

4. Provide inline code commenting and separate very detailed documentation with extremely high standards.

Estimate: 2 days.

Total effort estimation: 10 days + 1 day on meetings = 11 days

4. In the first 2 days, the candidate will build up a "proof of concept" test environment, to demo a simple client uploading a number of photos to a web service through SSL/TLS. Then he/she will come into office and install such testing environment into our infrastructure. If candidate fails to do so then the contract is terminated.
5. Candidate finishes all the coding, and comes into our office and demo to us that he/she has executed the design document precisely.
6. Candidate finishes all the documentation required. and we accept that it is up to the professional standard.
