Project Description

I eventually need a Ruby on Rails web developer with top skills & motivation to be the primary developer (concept to launch) for a new social-driven web application.

...but that's not what this project is for. Instead, this small project is to help me find the right person whose skills & style will be a fit for the larger project.

HERE'S WHAT I NEED FOR THIS PROJECT:
Build a RoR application that authenticates users and lets them post one or more 150 character status updates that will all be listed together on a public page. Include the post user's name and text-based post timestamp for each status update.

Each status update should link to a page to view this status update by itself. On this page, other users should be able to post 150 character comments, but only one comment per user per status update. The comments only need to display on the status page, not on the statuses list page.

DELIVERABLE:
Send me screenshots of your application and push your final source files to a free personal BitBucket git repository which you'll share with me.

** YOU MAY ONLY WORK UP TO 15 HOURS TOTAL ON THIS PROJECT**
If you anticipate it taking longer, please don't bid!

** I plan to accept at least 3 bids to have 3 freelancers all working on this project.**

You will be judged on 4 criteria:
- efficient use of time (how many of the 15 hours did you use?)
- quality of code (how are your RoR skills?)
- quality of design (does it look acceptable?)
- bid price (how much did I pay you per hour for this?)

Use Ruby 1.9.3 and Rails 3.2.1 with sqlite3 db.

When placing your bid for this project, let me know your experience with the bootstrap and devise gems.

Thanks!!
