Project Description

This project is about printing customers own photos, on to anything they would like.

How we would like it to work:

1. User comes to store and chooses product. Maybe partly pre-designed, or completely empty.
2. User starts editing the greeting card, phone case, ipad case: based on the chosen product, the user can edit 1, 2, 3, or 4 or more pages.

Editing must include:
** file-upload (pdf, jpg, facebook, flicker) and check for right resolution.
** Positioning and zooming of the photo
** Adding text, including choosing font, font size and color.
** User must be able to change the position of the tekst, aligning, etc.

3. User works in a page with both form fields and the actual card itself. I saw systems where the user needs to fill in a form and sees the result in the next step or screen (page). That's not what I would like to see for this system.

After the editing of the card is done and the preview is show, the regular checkout procedure will follow. The high res output pdf needs to be stored somewhere on the server in a way that we can see with which order the pdf needs to be connected. ie, pdf file name is saved with same order number from cart.

It would be a good idea to take a good look on how we can setup the templates. We have an other system running based on the pdflib library, working with the block tool within Acrobat to create templates. This might be a little bit too much for a start and not so flexible. We would like a better solution.

A good example of how I would like the project to work are:

top 3 sites, these are what we like best..:
1, [url removed, login to view]
2, [url removed, login to view]
3, [url removed, login to view]

We see this small project as the first step of a large development of web to print products. if this project is successful, We are also thinking of combining he shop with creating graphic products from blogs, twitters, Facebook and eBay

I am sure there are developers out there who already did a project like this and I would like to hear tips and other features we didn't think of.

deployment date is currently 8-10 weeks. I would like to have regular updates on the progress and I think good communication is very important to make a project like this successful.

We pay only 10% in advance, we had some bad bad experiences!
payment terms are
10% upfront
20% test site
20% bug-fix stage
50% completion
please don't bid unless you are happy with the payment terms, unfortunately they are too many cowboys out there who say they can do anything but results are poor
