Project Description

Note: No coding of video is needed. We have an applet that takes care of all recording video, playback, choosing camera & microphone, etc. The coder simply needs create a buttons in outlook that connects to our API

The end result needs to work in Outlook 2010 and the new Outlook 2013

Details:

Our Outlook interface needs 2 areas of functionality

1. When user has a message open for sending (new message, reply, or forward) and "Insert VideoMail" button needs to be placed as prominent as possible, as close to the send button as possible. The button will start up the video recording applet. Once recording is done, at the current cursor location in an open outlook message, insert an image (returned by the server). Image includes a hyperlink to a Video Message. When the message is sent, the properties of the email (to, cc, bcc, subject, body, and video-id) will be sent to our api for notation.

2. A settings area where a user can enter credentials: username, password, and request forgotten password. This data, once entered should be persistent and not be required to be re-enter upon outlook restart. Once this data is entered, it should be tested against our api to alert the user of any authentication issues (bad credentials, expired credentials, etc).

Messages will be sent and with a standard outlook email. We are targeting outlook 2010 and later.
