================== The Bed Villains ================== We require a series of illustrations depicting 5 villains, and their opposing heroes. The key here is that the villains and heroes are beds! From the list below we want you to pitch the 5 you are most excited about bringing to life! Remember that each villain needs an opposing hero character too. ================== About the Villains ================== • The Back-Wrecker (wake up with an aching back) • Old Creaky (on its last legs) • Unhappy Goldilocks (too hard or too soft) • The Shoebox (too small) • Saggy Belly (bends in the middle) • Sad Sack (simply tragic and should be scrapped) • Roly Poly (roll-together problems) • Mr Lumpy (speaks for itself) ================== About the Style ================== Pop art, retro,'s your call. The most important things are consistency and scalability. The 5 bed villains need to look like they belong to the same family. ================== Deadline ================== We've got some time, but ideally we need to have the characters locked down be end of October.

Trophy icon Design a Logo and Package Artwork 4 days left

We need an Eye Catching Logo and Package/Box Artwork Design for a new family board game. They need to be "fun" and appealing to children and adults. Parents will be the primary target market. The game will be packaged in a cardboard box that can have printing/artwork on all six sides. The Logo and Box requirements are defined in the attached Word Document. The contest winner will need to sign an NDA and edit the winning Logo and Artwork with the currently confidential name. Feel free to submit any questions that you may have. 8/17: Contestants - evidently the UPC BarCode did not come through on the attached Word Document. So I am sending it separately in the attached files. 8/21: Freelancers, Now that we see the ideas that are being submitted, it appears that we need to provide more clarification. The Logo: While this is a family oriented game, it is not a warm and fuzzy theme that many of the logo entries are portraying (they are very nice though, just not right for this game). This game reveals thing about each player’s personality, personal habits and experiences. Some of them will be funny, some surprising and some even embarrassing. It is a game of discovery about each family member and things about them that may have been unknown to others. It also reveals what each person thinks about his/her other family members, so it can get pretty funny with lots of laughing. How well each player does depends on how well he/she really knows each of their family members. Although younger children can play the game (age 7 and up), it is primarily for older kids, teenagers, and adults. So target the graphics for attracting teenagers and adults with Parents most likely to be the ones purchasing the game. Try to capture these thoughts in the logo design. Focus on the discovery, the revealing of personal secrets, and especially the fun of learning about each other and laughing. There were a couple of questions regarding whether we were looking for a sophisticated and classy type of logo (which many of them are – very professional), versus being more fun oriented. We have decided that the preference would be for an eye-catching fun and colorful logo and the same thing for the game box. Thank you. The Game Box: We need to clarify that this is the box/package that will be holding all the pieces of the game. It is what the future buyers will see when the game is on the shelves in the stores. We are not looking for a design of the brown cardboard shipping box which some of you submitted. The top of the box has to be the most eye catching. The box is oriented such that the top surface is 12.5”W x 9.5”D. The 12.5” dimension goes left and right, while the 9.5” dimension goes forward and back. The Game Name: Let us clarify this. The name of the game is “Family XXXXXXX”, or “Family XXXXXXX Game”. Do not include the word “board” in the name. Thank you for participating in the contest. Good Luck to you all.

NASA’s In-Space Manufacturing (ISM) Initiative is responsible for developing the on-demand manufacturing, repair and recycling capabilities that will provide sustainable operations during NASA Exploration Missions. In 2014, the ISM project made history by sending the first 3D printer to the International Space Station (ISS) and manufacturing the first parts ever in space. This was a critical first step in demonstrating additive manufacturing in microgravity. Currently, the ISM Program is preparing a new payload for the International Space Station (ISS) that will demonstrate capabilities for in-space recycling and manufacturing. This payload, called the “Refabricator”, combines a recycling system with a 3D printer to enable astronauts on the ISS and future deep space manned space missions to recycle plastic waste into 3D printer filament and then use that filament for ‘on-demand’ fabrication of new tools, replacement parts, and ‘consumable’ items such as food-safe utensils and medical implements. For more details and imagery on the Refabricator project, see the attached file. The goal of this challenge is to develop a “mission patch” for the Refabricator demonstration. The product should graphically convey the key theme of space exploration, recycling of materials, and on-demand manufacturing. The graphic will be used in multiple ways in the project. A small version of the graphic will be placed in the top corner of all presentation materials developed by the project, and a larger version of the graphic may be placed on the title page of presentations. This graphic will also be used on team items (shirts, mugs, etc.) and in materials developed for education and public outreach. Additionally, the graphic could potentially also fly on the actual Refabricator hardware launching to the ISS. Solution Requirements • Do not use NASA official logos or graphics or ‘NASA’ in the graphic text. • Must use the term “Refabricator” in the text of the graphic. Both a color version and black/white version are required. • Source File Requirements: All original vector source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered AI or EPS files. Note that PSDs saved as EPS files are not true vector / scalable files and will not be accepted. • All fonts (and operating systems) must be listed in a text file within your Submission Zip file. Include the name of the font and a link to where it can be downloaded/purchased. DO NOT include any font files in your submission or source files. • All text in the graphic should be converted to outlines. • Submission should also include 1024 x1024 version of the graphic in jpeg or png (on both a black background and a white background). The NASA insignia or other NASA logos cannot be used as any part of the submission. Other Preferences: • Color pallet is open, but limited to 6 colors. • Please avoid gradients or other special effects as they are difficult to reproduce across all media. Stock Photography Requirements: • Stock photography is not allowed in this contest. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. Judging Criteria: • Requirements: Does your submission meet the requirements as stated within the challenge?  • Quality: Does your submission look fresh, professional, and clean? • Concept: Does your submission capture the essence of the Refabricator’s objective to 3D Print and Recycle in space? Please note that NASA employees/contractors are not eligible to win a monetary award for this contest.

Hi there, I'm looking for some help in designing a leg tattoo. It will be around my back left calf (and can go around other areas of my leg, no problem with it wrapping to the right and left side of my leg), and it's a Vancouver/Pacific Northwest tribute piece in black ink. The idea was inspired after I was sent the attached photo of the man's legs up in the air with the view in front of him. I would like to spice up this view shown in the background, and remove the other aspects of the image. At the bottom I would like to include an outline of the legs up in the air. I'm picturing this at the bottom of the tattoo in the foreground as though it's from the perspective of the person with the legs, and the scenery above/in front (background), with the legs slightly poking over and slightly overlapping the background scenery. I would like the background scenery to consist of a few elements: - Trees indigenous to the pacific northwest, and specifically British Columbia, with a range of dense forest and larger standout trees - Mountains, specifically "the lions and "the two sisters" in the background - maybe on one or two having some white space/contrast showing snow on top - Not entirely set on this, but A vancouver skyline consisting of things like the Harbour Centre and maybe Science World, perhaps lions gate bridge. The kicker: It's going to be a cover-up. I currently have a fairly large peace sign in this space that I've had a few tattoo removal sessions on, so it's slightly faded. This new design does not have to only cover up the space of the tattoo, it could be larger, as long as it does an effective job of covering it up. My thoughts are the right creative work can use trees, the mountain ranges and the skyline to fill the black space. If you search "pacific northwest" or "vancouver" tattoo on instagram, there's a good collection of images that have a similar vibe to what I'm looking for. I'm not entirely set on the design and I would like to leave some creative room for what you think will make the tattoo look better.
