Architect for High-End Residential Design using Revit 2023/24

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced architect with a deep understanding of high-end residential design and a strong commitment to preserving the heritage and character of a conservation area. The selected architect will be responsible for meticulously crafting a residence that seamlessly blends modern luxury with the area's rich history and regulatory policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Sympathetic to Conservation Zoning: Develop a residential house design that rigorously adheres to conservation zoning policies, including:

Preserving the scale, form, massing, and detailing of original buildings and streetscapes.

Ensuring that the design predominantly maintains a single-story scale, preventing any intrusive two-story additions.

Carefully managing landscaped settings by minimizing hard surfaces and ensuring the carparking structures are discreetly located behind the building alignment.

Respecting existing patterns of development, which encompass spacing, rhythm, and materials.

Ultra-Realistic 3D Visualizations: Create exceptionally high-quality 3D visualizations that bring the proposed design to life with an unparalleled level of realism. The visuals should effectively communicate the project's integration into the conservation area.

Enscape Expertise: Leverage Enscape or similar tools to enhance the realism, interactivity, and immersive quality of the 3D visualizations.

Basic Revit Training: Provide personalized, hands-on training in Autodesk Revit 2023 to the client, ensuring their proficiency in navigating the software and facilitating productive collaboration.

BASIX Certification: Ensure that the design is thoroughly BASIX certified ready, showcasing a strong commitment to sustainability and energy-efficiency measures.

Landscape Integration: Skillfully incorporate the existing flat landscape features, including a grass tennis court, into the design while strictly adhering to specific landscape ratios and conservation area guidelines.

Effective Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the client, utilizing email and WhatsApp for seamless project updates, discussions, and collaborative decision-making.

Comprehensive Documentation: Prepare meticulously detailed architectural plans and schedules within Autodesk Revit, guaranteeing strict compliance with the Willoughby Council's DCP and LEP guidelines.

Architectural Style: Craft a distinctive architectural style that harmoniously aligns with the explicit requirements outlined in the provided Development Control Plans and Local Environmental Plan. The design should exemplify sensitivity to the conservation area.

Previous Subdivision Example: While referencing the subdivision plans with two houses as an example, it's important to emphasize that this job centers around designing a single house that complements the existing style and character.

Flexible Timeline: Acknowledge that there is some flexibility within the 2-4 week timeline for completion, allowing for thorough attention to detail and the highest quality of work.
