Assemble-able, laser cut, desk toy drone

Job Description:
I am looking to design an assemble-able and laser cut desk toy replica of the drone and cage in this picture. Looking for something roughly the size of a tennis ball that can be assembled like a lego set. It should be able to be able to be laser cut out of metal and be durable enough to withstand the impact of falling off a desk. The connection points between the pieces of the cage can be of any type, but ideally the rod and drone stay in place when the ball is rolled. The rings in the center can be made into one and we have some ideas on how to make it easy to rotate without the complexity of the original model.
All alternative ideas are welcome. If making it "assemble-able" is too complex, happy to explore making it in larger sections. We can simplify this as much as needed - the ultimate goal is a desk toy we can hand out that spins freely and looks awesome.
