We are looking for a new developer / development leader to take ownership of a Drupal CMS we have been developing for two years, and which is in final alpha stage.

On paper? It is a fairly large and multi-faceted application. It is a multi-site Drupal application featuring an automatic deployment module where customers enter their information and create an instance of the application automatically for immediate use. It is based heavily on CiviCRM for many of its features (yes, I know that is unfortunate. There will be a learning curve). It runs on an instance of Amazon EC2, managed by our full-time server administrator.

In reality? It is a state-of-the-art application that is preparing to take the industry by storm. The clients are waiting, and the company's sales and support staff are trained, and hungry. The only thing that is missing is a passionate developer who will grow together with us into a passionate development leader.

The chosen candidate will become a part of our team and company, based out of Toronto, Canada, regardless of where the candidate lives. He will communicate with us daily, share in our successes and difficulties, and will be as much an advisor to us as a developer. Immediate duties will be to learn the application extensively, understand the user experience of the clients, and share the vision of the (very down-to-earth) management team. Once that groundwork is established, he will finish final bug testing, work with us for quality assurance, and work on the application on an ongoing basis to ensure smooth client roll-out, support, and further feature development when necessary. Salaries, benefits, and growth will reflect the growth of our company through the product YOU spearhead.

By March 2011, if the chosen candidate has met the goals outlined for the project, he will be flown to our company headquarters in Toronto for a further work proposal and face-to-face meeting at the office.

The selection process for this role will be extensive. We are NOT looking for an established development company to bid on this project and add it to its repertoire of clients. We are looking for the ONE individual who has the drive and skills to succeed, and who doesn't take no for an answer.
