We have several tables that are used to track work in progress in two SQL databases, and are building a single web page that will serve as a management Dashboard. I have written SQL views and stored procedures that generate the metrics we want displayed. I have extensive experience with Classic ASP, but want to build the Dashboard in ASP.NET. So far, we have 4 "blocks" of metrics we want to display. I would build these in frames or a 2x2 html table (don't laugh too hard!), but suspect there are better, more flexible and visually appealing, ways of doing that now.
Attached are a couple of images that represent how I would like the page to look. I'd like the 2x2 grid if the browser is wide enough to accommodate it, and I'd like the "blocks" to stack vertically if it's viewed on an iPhone or smaller browser.
The Freelancer that's awarded this project will need to generate an ASPX page and all supporting pages needed to display this data. The winning bidder will provide sample data sources or code segments that build recordsets from views and return output values from stored procedures will be used so that I can see how views and stored procedures interact with ASP.NET. I would also like to see a couple of ASP.NET layout options that showcase the advantages of ASP.NET versus Classic ASP.
I would also like to see examples of pages you've coded that are similar to what I'm trying to accomplish.
Any questions, please let me know.
