This project will handle imports of excel files into a database repository that will also need to be built on MS SQL 2008 R2. It will allow the user to map the fields in the Excel file to available fields in the DB (the imported Excel files may have several different formats). Once the mapping is done for a file, this mapping should be saved in the application to select for future imports. This import will also allow the user to append metadata to the import; such as an expiration date or file source; these fields would be predefined via an area in the import section of the application.
They application will also handle exports to an Excel file that a user can select the criteria of the records to be exported. The application will store in a table the number of records that happened in the export and a hyperlink to the file. This functionality will do a concatenation of all the records in both the Master and Company repositories.
The user will also be able to use a % slider to do "De-duplication" on records in the database. Upon finding duplicates, the user will be able to select the record they want to retain, the other records will be moved to an archive (see below). This functionality will do a concatenation of all the records in both the Master and Company repositories.
The application will have a simple admin area where they can add users, and set the users permissions (Admin or User).
The Database will have 3 repositories, the Master Repository, the Company Repository, and the Archive. All records will sit in the Master repository unless they have been flagged to be moved. The Databases should use a star-schema.
The application have a section that will allow the user to select records to flag them to be moved to the Company Repository.Get free quotes for a project like this
