Windows Common Dialog Boxes - Extensibility

Cancelled

Customise the standard Windows "Save As" dialog box with our custom control as shown in attached image.

**1-** Button or menu must be pressed in order to activate/show our custom control. Btn/Menu can be placed anywhere you can on these dialog boxes).

Ideally Icon+text for this button but can compromise on it depending on what is achievable.

**2-** Needs to support 32 and 64 bit Windows (XP, Vista, Win 7).

**3-** Our custom control must be [url removed, login to view] or C#.NET

**4-** We must be able to use or pass along arguments of std dlg box outputs (filename, path, etc) to our control.

**5-** Ability to install/uninstall (unregister/uninstall) this addin/dll from system (if users don't want it).

**6-** You need to create a sample control (textbox, combo, treeview, etc inside) to demonstrate the idea - nothing too specific.

**7-** one of the items is a combobox linked to an MS SQL db. Again, it is not important what precise db schema you use, it is up to you, simply demonstrate the idea (linking to SQL db and some values in the combo).

**8-** This control should appear on ALL windows "Save As" dialog boxes. The control must not be active (should be hidden) when "Save As" form first opens, ONLY the menu or button must be visible. It should ONLY be Active when users press the Menu or btn.

One site you can read a bit more about this is:
