Project Description

Seeking a special someone to translate musical articles (about a composer's life and work) from German into English. The articles include a monograph from 1926, forms, letters and programs from the 1930s, and more modern musicological research.

The source text totals about 13,000 words: mostly printed or typewritten pages, but also some copies of forms or letters with handwriting. SEE THE ATTACHED PDF for the complete work to be translated (note that several pages in the first section of the document are _repeated_ with alternate views for possibly easier viewing). The estimated word count is based on a manual count of some of the pages and an extrapolation, but please review the actual document yourself before submitting a proposal.

Since English is the target language, ideally you're a native English speaker/writer with many years of experience reading German in the context of musicology, but we're open to the other way around.

This is NOT a rush. We want you to take your time and get it right. But you'll take this seriously and deliver the entire project within a few weeks from winning the proposal. (Delivery and payment in sections is preferred!)

You will deliver your stellar translation in either Plain Text or MS Word format.
