I am applying for a position on campus to be a Research Assistant for a very prestigious professor. He is very selective about his research assistants, and I am currently in the final rounds of consideration to be his assistant. One of the things he has requested to finalize who he will select to be his assistant is to read a chapter from his book which is 13 pages and write a 1 paragraph response to the reading. Currently with midterms I am very busy, but naturally I still want to be able to give the professor quality writing without cutting into my time to focus on school work.
I'm not sure if you academic writing, but I think you are more then qualified to deliver a response that will blow the professor socks off! It's very unlikely that I will get the position because I do not have research experience, and am competing against Graduate students, but I do hope that an excellent paragraph can be the difference between me being accepted and rejected.
I have attached the copy of the book chapter he has assigned for the response.
He has no prompt, he has only requested that we write a 1 paragraph response. I am giving you academic freedom to decide how you want to respond and how to structure your response keeping in mind that it is only a one paragraph response.
I wasn't sure how to price the project? I priced it at $30, would that be acceptable?
