About the role
The Academic Group is changing – and fast. As a charity, we rely heavily on the income we generate through our various fundraising activities and channels. This is why this role is so important and your experience so vital. Currently we have an ambitious fundraising vision in place and some exciting new projects on the horizon which we want you to be part of, and ultimately, help shape.
As a fundraising expert you’ll be vital in securing the funding needed at our properties to deliver business plans and long-term aspirations for these special places we help to look after. This could be anything from working with major donors and securing funding from charitable trusts and foundations to supporting legacy fundraising and community giving. In this role you’ll also develop and nurture relationships with our donors and supporters, helping to generate support for our cause and allowing us to achieve our financial sustainability.
In this role you'll work around 18.75 hours per week.
You've significant experience of fundraising including successful fundraising campaigns for capital projects, with a track record of cultivating major donors and building long-term relationships with supporters. Thanks to considerable experience of working in a professional environment, you know exactly what it takes to deliver an outstanding consultancy service. Ideally, you’re a member of the Institute of Fundraising, with good knowledge of relevant legislation and lottery, local authority, public sector and other grant schemes and programmes. With excellent influencing and negotiating skills, you’re also a strong project manager who can coach, mentor and inspire people you work with.
We expect a lot, but we’ll offer a great deal in return, starting with stimulating and challenging work and the opportunity to help us achieve our bold ambitions. We value your contribution, recognise the importance of a work-life balance, and are committed to your continued development. You can also look forward to free access to all our incredible resources.
