This is a class project on Financial Strategies lectures has to be done using by basic principles of finance.
We choose companies freely and calculate their financial status.
The corporation that we choose for this project should not be a financial services company (e.g., a bank or an insurance company). For the project we will need to get data from the company’s financial statements (look up the company’s Web site, Investor Relations tab).
First Part: (We choose 3 companies)
For the corporations you have chosen:
1. Using financial data contained in its financial statements, carry out a financial ratio analysis of the corporation you have chosen and, in particular, characterise its:
b) asset management,
c) debt management,
e) market valuation (as of January 1, 2012).
The analysis should cover a period of at least 3 years and include a comparison with at least two other businesses from the same industry as well as (if available) the average industry values of the relevant ratios.
Second Part (We analyse only one of company that we have chosen at first part)
2. Calculate the cash conversion cycle for the past 5 years. Comment on any changes in the length of the cycle taking into consideration, in particular:
a) any changes taking place in the particular industry, sector and the entire economy,
b) the policies pursued by the corporation you have chosen.
3. Have there been any new debt or equity issues in the last 5 years? Have debt and equity issues been sources or uses of funds?Get free quotes for a project like this
