Percentage Amount

I'm looking for an equation to show me how many bets do you need to make, at x amount (when x is the max loss and n would be max gain), at what percentage do you need to perform to make y amount.

I believe there should be more factors in the equation, so I'm also looking for some insight on creating the equation.
