We need a short animation for OncoSil Medical Pty which demonstrates the medical procedure which is a new radiation therapeutic delivery method for tumours in the pancreas.

There is a video attached which is the same procedure except to a different organ. I need something similar to this, but for the pancreas, created. When you offer to do this project please explain to me that you understand this important part of the project brief.

This video should be very sleek and modern looking. The company logo is attached and it should be on brand.

I want this to be delivered in GIF, MPG and perhaps another format that you suggest. Show me that you know how to do animations by discussing this aspect of the project brief.

A description of the procedure is written below:

Oncosil™, the product, contains porous silicon microspheres (micro beads) mixed with phosphorus and irradiated to create phosphorus 32 (P32) containing radioactive beads. These micro beads are mixed with a proprietary suspending fluid, and injected directly into the tumour. P32 emits beta particle radiation over a few weeks, killing dividing tumour cells. The radiation only extends outwards about one half inch from the beads, so healthy tissue is spared. Once injected, the beads stay in place, and do not migrate round the body.

OncoSil™ is a patent protected proprietary medical device (Class III) which creates a local stream of beta radiation when injected into a tumour. The product is created by melting up to 5% phosphorus with liquid silicon in a furnace, and uses sterile water to shatter the molten liquid into small particles. These are then graded by size, and 30 micron particles are selected. The particle size is important as it allows the resultant microspheres to remain in one place when they are injected. The particles are etched with acid to make them porous, then placed in a special reactor to give the phosphorus a radioactive charge. The phosphorus (P32) produces radioactive beta particles, and can emit the particles for up to 12 weeks.

Patients with pancreatic cancer have few options for treatment if their tumours are not accessible for surgical removal. The current standard of care is to provide gemcitabine intravenous chemotherapy and possible external beam radiation, both of which do not, unfortunately, control the tumour for long. The time before the disease progresses can be measured in most cases in weeks or months.

OncoSil™ is injected directly into the tumour using a special syringe and tube, directed by using ultrasound guidance, and endoscopy. Once injected, it immediately starts to produce local radiation in the tumour, causing any cells that might be dividing to die. This process continues for several weeks, either keeping the tumour size the same, or in some cases causing it to shrink. Pancreatic tumours tend to spread and cause severe pain, and it is believed that localized radiation therapy will control the pain better than other methods.

Since OncoSil™ remains where it is place, the body is not exposed to harmful effects of beam radiation, and so it is very well tolerated. When the radioactivity is no longer produced by the P32, a process that is complete in around 12 weeks, inert and non-toxic silicon and phosphorus remain in the pancreas and cause no problems for the patient.
