I am animating a jump shot. In this animation, I am attempting to move a basketball from a position of a little above the waist with each hand on either side of the ball as a starting position. The ball's final position will be over the head with the ball centered on the ear, both still hands remaining on the ball through the entire motion--- the right hand underneath it and the left one to its side at the final position.
Here is the dilemma! Up to this point, I used the constraining channel to fix the ball to the right hand. This function works fine. The motion of the right arm with the ball attached to the right hand goes directly over the head properly. However, the problem is to get the left hand to follow the already established motion path of the ball constrained to the right hand. I have heard that there are solutions such as using two balls (activating parenting, for example) to this problem, but I haven't been able to get it to work. Help please! Thank you
