the following query returns an incorrect number of records:
[url removed, login to view]:%5b2013-05-07T24:59:[url removed, login to view]%20TO%202013-05-08T24:59:[url removed, login to view]%5d&version=2.2&indent=on&wt=json
i had hoped this query would limit the records returned to the field value (end_date) range specified bu additional records are being returned. about 27000 records are being returned when it s expected that less then half that many should be returned. I can count the records returned by pressing control plus F at the same time then entering 'cu' in the top right -that will give you the total records. I am looking for someone who can edit this query to obtain the desired result.
An even better result may be obtained if you are able to search across 2 document types joining on a common field. the 2 document types are "ticket' and "event" the filter field is event_date and the common field joining the two document types is [url removed, login to view] you can set up a 1 day event_date range and return substantially less then 27,000 records with no records outside that date range then that would be great.
a good starting point for the documentation for the solr to be searched is located at:

All work is "work for hire" and a non disclosure would need to be signed. This is part of a larger project and could lead to your inclusion on the larger project.
Ideally i am looking for a ticket document using an event_date
updated query requirements-disregard above:
need to edit above query so that for any results returned where2 id's are identical only the max datelastindexed will be returned.
want to query across 2 document types (ticket and event) on a common field (event_id) so that fields from both document types can be returned filtered by an event_date range -this is now the top goal of the project if it is technically feasible
