A Java applet is launched from a PHP page on our website to help users upload multiple files (see attached screenshot). Users are required to enter information prior to browsing the file system and picking the directory containing the files to upload. After using the applet for an extended period, we realized that we want to block users from browsing the file system if they did not fill up the information on PHP page. Because placeholder "example" data is displayed on the page, that default data is sent to the Java applet which permits users to move on and browse the file system without having entered valid data. So we want to introduce control code in the Java applet that checks that the data received from PHP page is not default placeholder data (consists of 0, a or -). Data from the PHP page is sent to Java applet via JavaScript. The project consists of introducing control code in the Java applet to block user progress, compiling the Java applet and signing it so it runs under default Java security settings. A development website accessible through an SSH console will be provided for testing of the code, along with the current applet source code.

Hi, I think I can help with your problem, I do application using both java and php. I have another greater solution for this. Instead of using javascript I set a session variable if the data is all filled up, then I think validation will be much more prompt and safe. Thanks

Hello, I've done Java development for years, and I have a university degree in computer science. So from the info you've given, I don't expect any trouble if I'm chosen to take care of your project. Also, I'm sure I'll be able to give you a satisfactory result without bothering you too much. Please note that I've specified 7 days delivery time, simply because my schedule is a bit uncertain this week - I'll be trying to get it done in a couple of days, though. And as I'm sure you'll be satisfied, I can mention that I'll be available for future work, too, if you should ever need more help. Have a nice day! Best regards, Tor
