Project Description

Show off your design skills with this charming early 1900s apartment.

With Ceiling heights of 3.7 m in both the living room, hall and kitchen and 3.2 m ceiling heights in the bathroom and bedroom. Since the price per sq m in Stockholm is very high, there should be no wasted space. Ideas include LED lighting, modern kitchen, reducing the size of the hall and increasing the size of the kitchen and bedroom or bathroom.

Some information i left out of my first project that is very important is that i want to reduce the size of the hall by moving walls for the kitchen/bedroom in towards the hall. This will increase the usable space in both the bed room and kitchen. Also, i would like to be able to fit a eating area in the kitchen and believe that this could be accomplished by pushing out the cabinetry, appliances etc out towards the new wall location.

The attached plan of the apartment is somewhat of a lie, the bathroom wall (facing the hall) is angled to some degree, it would need to be straightned out and the winner of this project would get exact dimensions of the entire apartment so that their design could be true to life.

The bathroom size needs to be increased, this can be accomplished by removing the built in garderob. the current depth of the garderob is 85 cm and bathroom is currently 165cm wide.

the Walls facing the living room are load bearing walls and cannot be moved however all other walls can be moved.

I like sliding doors and the effect they can have to increase space not having a swing.

I would also like to further insulate the entrance way door with a tufted leather design as the door currently transmits sound both in and out of the apartment to an unacceptable degree.

Modern functional is the goal. Professional rendering and someone that has a flare for interior design is useful. The rest is up to you.
