Firmware development for micro controller (MCU) used in high end battery charger. Thank you to the many people who applie dto the last iteration of this post, the flowchart was not ready yet. Now we are ready to go!

MCU will communicate with the fuel gauge IC inside the battery pack and will control the charger IC in the charging cradle.

MCU resides in charging cradle side.

Communication protocol must be per SMBus specifications and SBC110.

Enclosed is the final flowchart, 2 programs are required, one for "version A" and one for "Version B". The charger Schematic includes ATXMEGA64A3-AU but this Chip overuns our budget. Please review the flowcharts and schematic and suggest the lowest cost Chip complete PN you suggest to use.

We will compare all applicants suggestions and modify this post for that IC before awarding. I will award this job to at least 2 people in parallel, so it will be reported and re-awarded when we make decisions.
