OPTIMISING GAME TRAFFIC OVER VARIOUS NETWORK TOPOLOGIES USING NS SIMULATOR

The overall objective of this project is to implement a game traffic generator which modeled closely to a particular game. The goal is to implement a traffic model that can be used by Internet Service Provider engineers to estimate the potential future impact of game traffic over IP networks. Objective is to develop a ns2 simulation model for System Link traffic by running live network experiments and characterizing the observed packet length, packet inter-arrival times, and data rates (in packets- and bits- per second). I expect the traffic model will assist network planners who wish to better support real-time game traffic.
