I want a stand alone calculator (that would be a .exe file)
It would be a little box (a few inches by a few inches)
That would calculate ones body mass index.
One would imput their Height(in feet/inches for imperial, meters for metric) and Weight(pounds for imperial, kg for metric) and then press the compute button to give them a BMI number. From there they could see at the bottom of the calculator where the number fits in. I would provide a icon for the calculator once the winning bidder needs it.
This is the formula: (it would have to work for both Imperial and Metric, One could specify what version they are using... see formulas below)
18.5 or less Underweight
18.5 to 24.99 Generally Considered Normal Weight
25 to 29.99 Generally Considered Overweight
30 to 34.99 Obesity (Class 1) Risk of developing Health Related Problems
35 to 39.99 Obesity (Class 2) High Risk of developing Health Related Problems
40 or > Obesity (Class 3) Extreme Risk of developing Health Related Problems
Imperial BMI Formula:
BMI = (weight in pounds * 703) / Height in Inches(squared)
(The Winning Programmer would have to convert feet and inches to just inced for the actual calculator)
BMI= Weight in Kilograms/Height in Meters (squared)
If this is confusing... Look up BMI Formulas for imperial and metric online.
Hope this makes sence, it is not that hard of a calculator to make. I just don't know programming.
