I have a linux CLI tool I want compiled into a windows binary. There is ONE problem so far.
When running ./configure I get this error at the end:
checking for socklen_t equivalent... [url removed, login to view]: error: Cannot find a type to use in place of socklen_t
This appears to be because Linux uses sys/socket.h and windows uses winsock2.h.
I actually found a drop-in header replacement file for sys/socket.h that wraps it to Windows winsock so in theory the program requires no changes, but I lack the C skills to put it on and view it working... I tried and got same error... I do not know for a fact if it this drop-in file works or not.
There is also a MinGW compiled version of the binary I am after that says it works on Windows (which proves it can be done). I have its source code here too of that project and will give you the link to download, but I could not get it to work either (same error). It had a patch file with it maybe I did it wrong. Again I am not C expert at all.
Offering $50 to whoever can compile this program so it runs on Windows. I will need your bullet point description of how you achieved it.
Make a bid and I will let you know what linux tool this is for and send any required links to you.
There is bonus work related to this after you achieve compilation if you are interested (optional)

Hello, I have come across similar issues in the past with compiling for Windows, I would be happy to wrap this up cleanly for you and explain the process. Thanks for considering me.
