Project Description

This project is to create a a filter on a dnnGrid based on roles.

dnnGrid is a wrapper for Telerik RAD grid, and it's present on DNN free since version 6.2, but I'm using 7.0

I need to show a grid result filtered by DNN user role. Roles arent ALL roles present on DNN but only some role in a rolegroup.

We can call this role group "CompanyRoles" and contains roles from our Organization Chart.

Inside CompanyRoles we can add for example: CEO, Director, Manager, Boss, Employee

The goal of this work is to allow user to see only some records in grid based on which role user has.

Employee can see only his records

Boss can see his records and employee records

Manager can see Boss and Employee

So I think on every grid row I need to add some hidden field to show only owned records.

A user could have more than one role, but he can see only one type at time.

Example: I'm CEO and Boss, in the dnnGrid Page I'll see a dropdownlist to choose my "Visualization Role"

I'm asking for a dummy module with only a [url removed, login to view] containing a dnnGrid with filters.

A dummy sql table with some exaple records containing logic to filter

If is an useful info, in the future I need to add "departments" so I need to show only record for Director -> Manager ->Boss -> Employee on the same Group.

I'd like to offer to anyone a chance to do this project, new freelancer are welcome but I need very clean c# code, commented and using object oriented c# best practices. No Procedural-Like coding please. Feel free to contact me for every clarifiation or if you need more info. I'll give you better description on every question you ask if needed. This could be a simple project for DNN Experts
