The game is a fighting based game run by a menu system. The menus will allow the player to select where they want to go and what they would like to do.
The game must include the following
Splash screen - tells the user the name of the game, welcomes them to the game, and tells them who wrote the program
Start menu:
New – Generates a new character
Load – Loads a game file and comes back to the start menu
Save – Saves a game file and returns to start menu
Continue – goes to the play menu
Help – give the user basic instructions about the game
Leave – quit menu and end program
Play:
Village – goes to the village menu
Forest – goes to the forest menu
Leave – returns to start menu
Could be expanded later to include other areas such as Castle or Swamp.
Village:
Shop – goes to the shop menu
Temple – goes to the temple menu
Scribe - displays player’s statistics
Weapon Smith – goes to the weapon smith menu
Armourer – goes to the armourer menu
Leave – returns to the play menu
Could be increased later to include a market, or different shops
Forest:
Fight – forest fight using the ‘fight menu’
Leave – returns to the play menu
Shop
Potions – buy a potion
Leave – return to the village menu
Could be increased to include other items such as food
Weapon Smith:
Increase weapon statistic at a cost
Leave – return to the village menu
Fight:
Attack – fight opponent
Take Potion – take a potion to increase health (or strength?)
Run away – go back to previous menu
Help:
Guidance on what the game is about and how to use the menus etc.
Farewell:
A “Thank you for playing/Come back soon” type of message screen
