I am looking do a mail merge in Microsoft word to be done in such a way as follows:
1- MS Word template will include fields that will be picked up from a database
2- The database will be prepared by the required fields
3- When the user opens the templates, the fields will be picked ups from database
4- The user will then safe the template file that contains the picked-up fields
5- The database is Microsoft Sql
6- This will be done within an application in SharePoint
1- We are talking about a single file only and not many files for distribution. This
file will be generated within a SharePoint application.
2- The service is mainly about knowledge transfer and any macro to be developed but
the actual work on the actual server is not within the scope of this projects
To help you more, attached a sample word template. the highlighted fields are those that
needed to be picked up from the database.
