Project Description

A classified ads web application where anyone can sell, buy, exchange or auction out services and stuff.

This web application will be a highly scalable product, robust and flexible enough to support popular platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X etc.), web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari etc.) and any screen size from smartphones, tablets to large TV-screens, without the loss of quality.

A search-engine which is fast and precise and will provide an advance filter depending on the categories a user chooses.

An user will have to be able to upload media (mostly images) in an easy way. The media will be stored on a preferred space and should be in storage for a limited time only. These images will be watermarked and the aspect ratio will be fixed and with no loss of quality when uploaded. The user can only upload a limited amount of media and the limit can be changed by an administrator to a preferred value.

Providing security for users as the system will need to store important data such as social security number, address, credit card number etc. This means that all vulnerabilities in the system will have to be encrypted with appropriate security mechanisms. The system will have to be extremely reliable for users to trust the system and that it functions as advertised.

Other important features:

- Registration for an user

- Registration for an ad

- CMS (SCRUD: Administering users, ads, site administrators and other site preferences)

- User search settings

- Show results

- Show individual ad
